School of Chinese Medicine (SCM)

SCM has been accredited by the Hong Kong Accreditation Services to provide testing service in accordance with the Hong Kong Chinese Materia Medica Standards; and
SCM’s laboratory conducting authentication and other tests has been accredited by the Hong Kong Accreditation Service and has achieved the status of ISO/IEC 17025.
The pass rate (89.3% in 2013) of HKBU’s Chinese Medicine undergraduate students taking the Chinese Medicine Practitioners (CMPs) Licensing Examination is used to benchmark the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (BCM) programme of the School of Chinese Medicine against BCM programmes offered by local and 30 top mainland Chinese Medicine institutions.
